Best friend on the call
When reading the title did you have immediately one person in mind that would fill the description of a best friend you visualise in high school? Did real life reveal and match that description? Do you have one best friend or several best friends based on subjects, trails or seasons of your life?
If you had to describe your best friend now what are the main things that you have to mention and can not leave out. As you think about it you will for certain have a big smile because life has give you that person that has your back when you show your all or that specific corner that ohh so few or none know about.
For me when I describe my vision of a best friend I cannot help to visualise the big word vacant. I stand at a point that I do not want to put such a heavy task on someone. I also stand at the crossroad of not knowing that my best friend vision board is completed. For It is a process that one never fully arrives at. It is the warmness that the vision board gives by the thought of someone. Is it fear that is holding me back from calling a good friend a best friend? By calling them my best friend I feel that I am committed to that bound for the rest of our lives. How do you experience this bound? Is it wearing you down or is it strengthening your friendship? Is it giving you the best definition of a friend. Does it reflect your vision board?
Let’s make a (digital) best friend vision board:
Type 7 words that defines a best friend.
What are the feelings and textures that goes with the words.
What is the love language that you respond to in this relationship.
In which way would you like to express your gratitude towards that person. Take their love language into account if you have someone in mind.
Print and post it to the person that reflects your vision board. If you are searching for a best friend keep the vision board as a screensaver.
Affirmation:My best friend does not judge me when I do good things, and does not leave me when I do bad things.
